Job Description

The Civil Engineer in Training will support the engineering and project teams in the development of civil engineering plans, designs, calculations, and technical documentation. For selected candidates, an assessment on Autodesk Civil 3D and overall engineering skills might be applied as part of the selection process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Civil Engineers and Project Teams with the development of civil engineering plans and designs.
  • Assist with the preparation and modification of plans for land development and infrastructure projects.
  • Support the design of grading, alignments, profiles, and surfaces.
  • Assist with stormwater, sanitary sewer, and potable water network layouts.
  • Assist in the development and modification of Civil 3D models and drawings.
  • Prepare plan sheets, details, and other project documentation under the supervision of experienced engineers.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and quantity takeoffs.
  • Assist with the preparation of project reports and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with other members of the engineering and design teams as needed.
  • Follow established company standards, design procedures, and project requirements.
  • Continue developing technical knowledge through training, mentoring, and hands-on project experience.
